RippleMatch is proud to spotlight Ashely Wodarek as a Program Innovator! Ashley Wodarek is currently a Senior Campus Recruiter at MKS Instruments leading the recruitment and program design for its Graduate Internship Program on a global scale (North America, EMEA, and APAC regions). This is far from Ashley’s first award in the early career talent space —-she has been a consistent achiever and role model since the start of her career, and was nominated by a colleague as a RippleMatch Program Innovator.
Prior to MKS, Ashley was a Lead Campus Technology Recruiter at BNY Mellon, where she was a global program manager for the inaugural early internship program as well as the recruitment lead for ~175 early talent and internship roles per year. She was also given the BNY Mellon Bravo Award for Cultivating a High Performance Culture. Before joining BNY Mellon, Ashley was the University Relations Program Manager at Highmark Health, where she was responsible for the execution and strategic direction of university recruitment for the internship program and leadership development programs with ~200 hires annually. At HighMark Health, Ashley was also presented with the Rookie of the Year Award for excellence in Campus Recruiting.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Slippery Rock University, and has over eight years experience in technical recruiting/sourcing, university recruitment, campus program design and management, and project management. We spoke to Ashley about what’s next for her in campus recruitment:
R: What’s one innovation in campus recruitment over the past year that has excited you?
I love that campus sourcing is being more readily adopted by employers. There are some many talented students and I’m excited to have more of a pathway to connect.
R: What are some things you’ve done to innovate your campus recruitment strategy or early careers program?
As an early career program manager, I constantly evaluate skill sets and profiles that we are recruiting for to better ensure linkage to career progression and development.
R: When you think about the future of early career recruitment at your company, what are some things you’re hoping to accomplish?
Since I'm new, I am very excited! I've worked in many different industries and hoping to bring my perspective/spin on recruiting.
