About PURE Insurance’s Associate Member Advocate Training Program:

PURE Insurance’s Associate Member Advocate Training Program is a comprehensive six-week paid training program where new grads and Gen Z talent learn all about PURE Insurance, obtain their Property & Casualty Claims Adjuster license, and meet other trainees before beginning as Associate Member Advocates.  

 

PURE Insurance offers new hires comprehensive training to help them develop soft and hard skills to succeed in their roles 

For PURE Insurance’s Associate Member Advocate Training Program role, each new hire is required to partake in a Trauma-Informed Care Insurance Professional training and workshop. In this training and workshop, new claims professionals learn more about the inner workings of the insurance industry which is, by nature, a trauma-adjacent industry. The training touches on how to assist individuals who might be experiencing a traumatic event, how to verbally and nonverbally communicate with them, how to ask the right investigative questions while still maintaining a sense of empathy, how to manage and recognize the effects of secondary trauma, and more.

 

By doing so, PURE Insurance has transformed the way it approaches claims and leads with empathy 

This training was implemented as a way for claims professionals to better understand the trauma that members could be bringing to the table in a claims situation. By introducing this training, PURE Insurance has been able to better equip its claims teams with the tools and resources they need in order to better understand the breadth and depth of trauma, and change the way PURE Insurance approaches claims in order to maintain a high level of empathy, but also keep the claims process moving along. Everyone in PURE Insurance’s Claims Department is now required to undergo this training and receives a Trauma-Informed Care Insurance Professional Certification upon completing the 3-day training and workshop series.
