The Top 10 Universities to Find Entry-Level Analysts, According to University Recruiters

At which university can you find the most in-demand entry-level analysts? According to data from our platform, the University of Pennsylvania has secured the No. 1 spot for producing top candidates for entry-level analyst positions. The finding comes from analyzing the interactions between university recruiters and students that use our platform.

RippleMatch automatically matches qualified candidates with entry-level positions and internships, and screens candidates for initial interest. After reviewing candidates' profiles, recruiters that use our platform are able to reject or accept matched candidates into their interview process. We analyzed data across tens of thousands of interactions and found that students from certain universities were much more likely to to receive a first round interview for ‘Analyst’ positions than students from other universities.

Examining the composite data from the university recruiters that use RippleMatch, we’ve identified the 10 universities that produce the most in-demand analysts. We identified the top schools as those with the highest percentage of candidates "accepted" by a recruiter into a company's interview process for an analyst role.

The top three spots are taken by Ivy Leagues and the rest of the list is dominated by elite private institutions. Five of the eight Ivy League schools made the top 10 and only one public university made the list: the University of Virginia. It’s clear there’s a high bar for candidates, and while school prestige isn’t the only factor candidates are evaluated on, there’s definitely a correlation between elite universities and in-demand entry-level analysts. Read on for the full list of schools:
